Chakras

What are they and what are they for

It is common to do research on the Internet about this subject: Chakras.

The results of searches are usually images with colored dots, symbols of the chakras or images of the human silhouette with colored dots on top. It is the common way of representing the chakras or energy centers.

These energy centers are energy vortices and are aligned along our spine. They are part of our energetic or spiritual body, and they are subtle energies so we cannot see them.

The chakras work like batteries that charge our body with energy, they absorb energy from the outside and emit energy to the outside, in addition to distributing this energy throughout our entire body. They also interact with all parts of our body and each chakra is related to a part of our body.

São os chakras ou centros de energéticos que fazem de nós um sistema vivo complexo com vários níveis de consciência.

The chakras are numbered from the bottom up, starting with the lowest energies and moving up to the higher energies.

We start with the first chakra we call the Basic chakra or Root chakra. It is located at the base of our spine. The color that represents this chakra is red. This chakra is related to our survival, our will to live and also our connection with nature or the earth. It is the support of all other chakras.

The second chakra, which we call the Umbilical chakra or Sexual chakra, is located below the navel. Its color is orange. This chakra is related to our creativity and our sexual energy.

The third chakra is the Solar Plexus chakra, located two fingers above the navel. Its color is yellow. This chakra is related to how we relate to others and it is through it that our emotional energy flows.

These first three chakras are part of the physical plane, one of their functions is also to vitalize the physical body.

The fourth chakra, the Heart chakra, is located in the center of the chest. Its color is green. This chakra is related to love, the ability to love and be loved, with unconditional love. This chakra is the bridge between the physical plane and the spiritual plane, as this chakra is on the astral plane. It is the center of the seven chakras.

The fifth chakra, the Throat chakra or Laryngeal chakra, is located in the center of the throat. Its color is blue. This chakra is related to communication, expression and self-acceptance. This chakra is the first chakra on the spiritual plane.

The sixth chakra, the Front chakra or Third Eye chakra, is located in the center of the head, behind the forehead. Its color and indigo. This chakra is related to mental clarity and intuition. It is the second chakra on the spiritual plane.

And lastly, the seventh chakra, the Crown chakra. It is located on top of the head. Its color is white. In this chakra the energy is high when this chakra is unblocked and balanced, as it is the supreme center of subtle energy. It is related to our connection with the spirit world and with the creator. It is the last chakra of our body and it is on the spiritual plane.

When we have a problem in one chakra, all the others are affected because they are all interconnected, connected, they function as a whole. Giving an example: When a person ends a relationship, which was destructive, that was a very bad experience. That person will say, “I will never have a relationship with anyone again! Relationships are a very bad thing!” In this case, the chakra dealing with love, the heart chakra may stop, close, or block, this causes it to stop receiving energy as well as emit energy. This chakra stop to “grow” spiritually with the interaction of love.

This case is a common case, the person becomes discouraged, disoriented, with no reason to continue, disillusioned, and so on… who has never had a heartbreak of love… These feelings can be temporary or permanent, it depends on the person… The chakra can unlock with the acceptance and the continuity of the day to day or it can stop… indefinitely, and the person can become depressed, because all the other chakras start to be affected too.

Giving an example of what happens in the metaphysical world: The chakras work as a whole, so if one does not receive energy there will be another that will receive energy to compensate for what is stopped. The problem is that the energy that is received to compensate is not what is needed. If the Heart chakra stops, it should receive energy from unconditional love, and the Solar Plexus chakra receives more energy to compensate, this energy does not replace what the chakras as a whole need to be in balance, so begin to get all out of balance, even when we have only one problem that only affects one chakra.

The chakras harmonize us, nothing in us works by itself but everything is incredibly synchronized, in perfect love, so that we are alive.

When something goes out of balance or out of harmony, our body resents it and something may not go right. It can be a malaise, pain, anxiety, lack of sleep, stress… it can be something light and fleeting or it can be something more prolonged and difficult to resolve. Our body talks to us, but we are so involved in our physical world that we don’t even notice it, we don’t want to stop and listen. It’s easier to take some pain pills… and postpone the problem until later…

When the chakras are harmonized and balanced, we feel good about life, we feel enormous well-being, we feel fulfilled, happy, alive… And this is contagious, people around us also feel happy . And as we emit energy and receive energy, we are going to attract people who have an energy similar to us, we are going to attract happy events into our lives… snowball effect to the positive effect, in this case, but it could be the opposite. We can see the opposite situation, and everything around us is black and we don’t even understand why.

What can we do to balance the chakras?

To balance the chakras we can do several things:

Meditation: This meditation should be specific to chakra balancing. There are several on YouTube. Yoga: Yoga also has specific exercises for each chakra, one of which is Kundalini practice. There are also YouTube videos to make at home.

Reiki: The energy sent to us through Reiki also balances the chakras.

Sounds: We can also put the chakra sound that we intend to balance for some time in the headphones, each one has a sound.

Positive Affirmations: Knowing which chakra is out of balance and writing or listening to the positive phrases related to it, again, each has its affirmations.

Hands of Light: Hands of Light heal, fix and balance the chakras.

What I usually do is meditation, Yoga, Reiki and Hands of Light. I choose these therapies because I can treat all the chakras at the same time. Treating only one chakra in my opinion is not the right choice, because when one is out of balance, it unbalances the others, so I always think it’s better to balance everyone and not one alone.

Each chakra has its function and if we understand each one of them, we can more easily understand what is out of balance in us and in this way heal, balance, fix… and have a much happier and more balanced life in all aspects: in health, in love life, professional life, financial life, social life!
